About my coaching

I work across all forms of coaching, treating each person as an individual and tailoring the sessions to their needs.

I have worked with clients on:

  • personal growth and development, helping individuals clarify their values and goals as well as navigating career paths and transitions

  • improving performance and productivity in a professional setting, whether generally or on a specific issue/objective

  • improving confidence and self-esteem, working with individuals to get to the root cause and put support systems in place

  • reducing and managing stress, overwhelm and burn-out, including work-life balance or specific pressurised events

  • building leadership skills and supporting through specific leadership challenges.

  • managing challenging relationships and resolving conflicts, both personal and professional

"Thanks to Rachel, I feel a lot clearer and hopeful about the future. I highly recommend Rachel as a coach - she is very skilled at providing a safe, non-judgemental space to unpick and navigate life's challenges."
“Working with Rachel has been a made a huge difference to the way I have approached some significant challenges both at work and home. She has a friendly and informal style which is backed up by years of experience in the corporate environment, enabling us to quickly build context and apply a wide range of coaching skills and models to work through any issue or situation.”
"I immediately felt comfortable during my initial intro chat with Rachel. She is super friendly and has a fantastic way of making you feel at ease. During my sessions, she really helped me articulate and understand underlying issues which have been holding me back and guiding me through ways to make changes."

  • How do I find out if you’re the right coach for me?
Coaching is a relationship, and it is important to make sure any coach is the right fit for you. For all potential clients I offer a discovery call, free of charge. During this 30-minute session, I can tell you a little about me, how I work and what I can offer, and you can say a little about you and what you’d like from coaching. After the discovery call, if you decide you’d like to go ahead, I usually suggest booking an initial block of 3-6 sessions.
  • How do the sessions work?
One-to-one sessions are all conducted online over Zoom. Sessions tend to be 60-90 minutes long. The frequency of sessions is chosen by you as the client (usually every 3-4 weeks but may be more frequent if you are working towards a particular short-term goal).
  • What sort of coaching do you offer?
I can offer coaching across multiple areas of personal and professional development, and if you’re not sure what you need, we can work through this together. I have helped clients with: - personal growth and development, helping clarify values and goals as well as navigating career paths and transitions - improving performance and productivity in a professional setting, either in general or on a specific issue/objective - improving confidence and self-esteem, getting to the root cause and putting support systems in place - reducing and managing stress, overwhelm and burn-out, including work-life balance or specific events - building leadership skills, and supporting through specific leadership challenges - managing challenging relationships and resolving conflicts, both personal and professional We can work on specific issues or challenges, both long-term or short-term goals. The focus is completely led by you.
  • Why should I choose coaching?
Coaching provides a safe, confidential space where you can talk through any areas of your life where you feel stuck or unsure or just need to work through a problem or issue without judgement. A coach won't tell you what to do but will help you to provide answers for yourself.
  • Why should I pick you as a coach?
With over 20 years-experience in the UK Home Office and Ministry of Justice, and a variety of senior leadership roles, I have significant corporate knowledge and a strong understanding of the pressures of a modern workplace. My educational background and work in the field of social research and criminology has given me a solid grounding in psychology and understanding behaviour. Throughout my career I mentored and coached individuals on career goals and challenges and developed a strong passion for helping and supporting people to be their best. I wanted to build on this experience and so left the civil service to train and qualify as a Personal and Business Coach with Barefoot ICF-accredited coaching programme. Feedback from clients I have worked with has shown me to be warm, professional and friendly which helps them to feel comfortable through the sessions. I have experienced first-hand the challenges of juggling a demanding career with a busy home life. I am Mum to a 9-year-old boy with special needs and have significant insight into neurodiversity and mental health difficulties (including certification in understanding autism). I treat every client as an individual and am passionate about creating a safe space for people to be able to share their experiences and thoughts securely and confidently.
  • How much will it cost?
